AgriFood Skills Australia is undertaking a project to develop nationally recognised competency standards for equine dental service providers.
The National Reference Group (NRG) held its first meeting on 15 June 2010 at which stage it was agreed the draft content documents for the proposed Certificate IV and Diploma qualifications would be initially reviewed by the NRG members as well as all State/Territory Regulatory bodies. The Review Stage 1 feedback has now been considered by the NRG and a consultation draft has been prepared.
This stage of the consultation process aims to target the broad horse related industries as well as those specific equine dental industry representatives involved to date. Feedback will be received up to COB Friday 28 January 2011. Details about how to provide feedback are in the Explanatory Paper provided below.
