WELL Program - Government Funding for Language and Literacy
The Workplace English Language and Literacy (WELL) Program is designed to assist workers to improve their English language, literacy and numeracy skills in order to help meet their employment and training needs.
The program is provided by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations to give assistance for the delivery of workplace-based language, literacy and numeracy training activities and the development of language, literacy and numeracy resources that will facilitate ongoing and cost-effective workplace language, literacy and numeracy training.
Literacy and Numeracy Pilot Program announced
AgriFood Skills Australia has produced several WELL publications: Working WELL, From the ground up, and The get real factor, to complement the WELL Worthwhile case studies, released as part of the DIRECTIONS series (1 July 2007).
The get real factor and From the ground up were marketed across all industry sectors. All copies of From the ground up were distributed and strong demand was experienced for The get real factor.
